Apprehensive until 3:15pm

Today was my son’s first day at HCA as a primary student. My wife and I were quite apprehensive. Will he be okay? Will he like it here? When he clung to us, refusing to go to his classroom, the uneasiness grew exponentially. After lots of gentle coercion, we got him into his classroom and left for home. Doubt and dread occupied our minds all day.

Till 3:15pm….

The sight of him running out to the playground and sliding down the slide with a smile on his face was what greeted us.

I was reminded of these lines:
“Praise to the Lord, who o’er all things so wondrously reigneth, shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth: Have we not seen all that is needful hath been granted in what he ordaineth.

At that instant, all doubt vanished and a great weight was lifted from our shoulders
