Nominating Information & Nomination Submission
Thank you for your interest in supporting Halifax Christian Academy by participating in the Nomination
process. Application Deadline is: 4 pm on October 1, 2021
Members* of HCA and individuals who are a member of the HCA Faculty/Administrative staff who wish to nominate a Member of the Halifax Christian Academy community as a candidate to seek nomination to serve on the Board of Directors should complete the application below and submit the form before the deadline.
*PLEASE NOTE: A Member is a parent or legal guardian who has a child enrolled full-time at HCA for the 2021-22 school year.
Once this application is received by the Nominating/Vetting Committee, they will reach out to the individual to confirm their interest and to secure the documents needed for the nomination/vetting process. All candidates will be notified as to whether or not they have been selected as a nominee, and all successful nominees will be required to attend the Annual General meeting to be held on October 28, 2021.
Please note that serving on the Board of Directors requires a time commitment and it is important that a nominee’s work schedule allow them to attend the following meetings (dates and location subject to change and some meetings may be via Zoom):
- Board Orientation – Date to be determined & mandatory
- Board Meetings – Monthly (dates to be determined)
- Annual General Meeting – to be held annually in month of October.
- Annual Strategic Planning – full day session mid to late April; location TBD; mandatory
